Bill is the Founder of Innovation Finance USA LLC, also known as QuickFi, and First American Commercial Bancorp, Inc., aka First American Equipment Finance.
QuickFi is a platform that combines embedded lending with advanced AI technology. It serves banks and global equipment manufacturers in the U.S. and Canada. QuickFi is the only active company offering embedded lending in the $1.34 trillion U.S. market for business equipment loans and leases.
Before this, Bill was the cofounder and CEO of First American Equipment Finance from its start in 1996 until 2015. Today, First American is part of the Royal Bank of Canada and has several billion dollars in loans and leases.
Bill earned a J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1998, an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson Business School in 1992, and a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1988. He is licensed to practice law in the Third District of New York, the New York Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
In 2009, Bill was the chairman of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) in Washington, D.C.
Bill and Cyndee Verhelle live in Naples, FL.
William Verhelle, was the 2008 Chairman of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA). The ELFA is the premier trade organization for the $1 trillion per year equipment finance sector. The organization has over 700 member companies, including the nation’s largest independent equipment leasing companies, captive equipment leasing companies, and commercial banks.
William Verhelle previously served on Entrepreneurship@Cornell as an Advisory Council Member. Entrepreneurship@Cornell works with all campus schools, colleges and organizations to help create and promote entrepreneurship, events, commercialization, and experiential learning opportunities.
